Fostering Innovation and Cross-Cultural Understanding for a Better Future
CAIR-Nepal (Center for Artificial Intelligence Research Nepal) and the Association for Law, Technology and the Arts in Turkey have established a strategic partnership to advance research, education and cultural exchange. This collaboration aims not only to strengthen academic and technological cooperation, but also to promote cross-cultural understanding, an essential element of global collaboration and learning.
CAIR-Nepal and the Association for Law, Technology and the Arts share a common vision, despite specializing in different fields: Empowering individuals to contribute to society through multidisciplinary research. This collaboration emphasizes the importance and necessity of diversity in driving innovation and societal progress.
CAIR-Nepal is an artificial intelligence research center founded by Dr. Tek Raj Chhetri, currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US. Driven by a mission to empower Nepali youth and encourage local participation in cutting-edge research and development, CAIR-Nepal focuses primarily on artificial intelligence, but also covers various fields of computer science and their applications.
CAIR-Nepal’s main research areas are:

CAIR-Nepal currently has a team of 6 researchers and 4 students/interns who are actively pursuing projects in areas such as knowledge representation, responsible AI and data privacy.
The partnership between CAIR-Nepal and the Law, Technology and Arts Association opens doors to many exciting opportunities. The collaboration focuses on the following key areas:
1. Education: CAIR-Nepal and the Law, Technology and Arts Association will develop courses, conduct seminars and organize boot camps to enrich learning experiences.
